ANDREW TEMPLE

For nearly two decades, Andrew has averaged over 100 days a year backcountry skiing and guiding in his home range of the San Juan Mountains of Colorado, and abroad. Additionally, he has worked extensively as a researcher, avalanche forecaster, and snow scientist for the Center for Snow and Avalanche Studies, Colorado Dust on Snow Survey, and for NASA during the SnowEx mission. Andrew has a passion for giving back to the snow community through Avalanche education, having taught AIARE courses for over a decade for recreational skiers, professional guides, ski patrollers, and search and rescue teams across the West. When not skiing, you can find Andrew rock climbing around the world, cheffing up a culinary delight in the kitchen, or building custom ski lodges and steel and reclaimed wood furniture and art.
