PROGRAM POLICIES

CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS

Refund policy for client-requested cancellations is as follows:

  • More than 60 days prior to the start of the trip: Refund less deposit.

  • Less than 60 days prior to the start of the trip: No refund is provided.

Due to COVID-19, the following refund policy applies for international trips:

  • More than 60 days prior to start of the trip: Full credit that may be applied to future trips or a full refund less $100 administration fee

  • Less than 60 days prior to the start of the trip: 100% credit toward future trips

​

Third Eye Backcountry LLC reserves the right to cancel tours at any time. Full refunds less $100 administration fee will be given in this the situation. Third Eye Backcountry cannot be responsible for nonrefundable expenses such as airline tickets incurred by the participant.

GENERAL POLICIES​

​

  1. No refunds or credits will be provided for delays due to weather, road, or avalanche conditions, or flight delays. 

  2. Once a program begins, no refunds will be issued for any reason, including non-participation.

  3. Changes of Itinerary: We reserve the right to modify or the change the itinerary of a program at any time. This includes changing routes / objectives based on what the guide deems appropriate for the group.

  4. The success of programs with defined objectives such as summit climbs, climbing or skiing routes, etc., is affected by a multitude of factors including weather, mountain conditions, group dynamics, etc., and is in no way guaranteed.

  5. Early Departures: No refunds will be given for participants leaving a trip early, by personal choice or by discretion of the guide. All costs incurred in such an instance are the responsibility of the participant.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

Travel insurance is required for all of our programs, and can cover trip cancellation, interruption, delay, baggage loss, medical expenses, medical evacuation, and more.

 

​Note: Some travel insurance companies require your policy be purchased within 15 days of placing your trip deposit.

​

We recommend Global Rescue for trip insurance.​​

​

PAYMENT

For all programs, a specified deposit is required to secure your reservation. Final payment is due 60 days prior to the start of the program. For signups within 60 days of the program start date, full payment is due at signup.

Payments may be made via Venmo, Paypal, or check to Third Eye Backcountry LLC.
